How to Get Started with the Internal Approval Sheet (IAS):
This tutorial was designed to provide a walkthrough for the digital version of the IAS. The tutorial will cover the process of downloading the new version of the IAS, how to fill it out, and how to digitally sign it once you have it filled out.

Where to Find the IAS

Navigate to the main SPA website. Open your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) and navigate to "http://spa.msstate.edu". You may click on the link provided here or you may type the URL into the address bar of your browser.

Click on "Forms". Beneath the bar of images should be a horizontal navigation bar containing links to various parts of the SPA website. The next-to-last one from the right will be the target link, "Forms".

Click on "PDF" next to the IAS label. There will be a table under "Internal MSU Forms" that will contain a list of forms and download options. In the first line of this table, you will find "IAS: Internal Approval Sheet". Click on the "PDF" link that is directly beside this label. This link will open the latest version of the IAS (version 1.0.7).

How to Validate the Signature of Another Person
To ensure the validity of the person(s) sending you a digitally signed PDF, you will need to import their certificate into your Adobe Acrobat. Once imported, Adobe Acrobat will recognize the signature as a trusted identity. A tutorial on how to export and import certificates can be found at the following link.
